Now in its 23rd year, the Pennyroyal Arts Council’s smARTS (students meeting the ARTS) will feature educational cultural arts programming selected to complement and enrich the classroom experience you offer to your students. More than 110,000 students have been introduced to the performing arts through school day and in-school performances. We ask you to join us once again as we bring you an exciting new season.
The smARTS program is a wonderful asset to our community. I value the work that those involved put into the program each year! They make it very easy to plan a trip, from reserving a spot, to sending teaching materials to help me make sure that my students are prepared to be active, engaged participants. My classes and team mates enjoy our yearly trip to see a performance- we look forward to it each year! We are thankful to have the smARTS program!”

Our students enjoy the performances that are offered each school year. SmARTS is a great opportunity for them to be exposed to live theater while learning life lessons and putting to use theater etiquette.”

The students of Pembroke Elementary thoroughly enjoyed their experience with the shows sponsored by the Pennyroyal Arts Council at the Alhambra Theater. The shows were very engaging and relevant to the age group. The staff at the theater are courteous and very helpful. We are excited to see which shows are coming this year so that we can be a part of this experience again.”
