Established in 1977, the mission of the Pennyroyal Arts Council, Inc. is to encourage, develop, and promote the appreciation of the Arts through: Education, Support, Service, and Presentation.
The Pennyroyal Arts Council, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, was established in 1977. Our mission is to encourage, develop, and promote the appreciation of the Arts through Education, Support, Service, and Presentation. We are governed by a Board of Directors which meets the second Monday of each month at the Alhambra Theatre. Visitors are welcome to attend these meetings. Staff includes an Executive Director, Assistant Executive Director, Education Coordinator, Front of House Manager, Technical Director, and Office Manager.
Arts Council programming includes the Live at the Alhambra series, School Day Performances, The Big Read, Missoula Children’s Theatre, and Art Exhibits. The Arts Council manages the Alhambra Theatre on South Main Street in downtown Hopkinsville.
Our offices are located in the top floor of the newly renovated Alhambra Theatre.
Office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
Kentucky Arts Partnership
The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, supports Pennyroyal Arts Council with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
