About the Hopkinsville Chamber Orchestra & Chorus

Bringing the joy of music to Hopkinsville, one note at a time.

The Hopkinsville Chamber Orchestra and Chorus represent the highest level of classical performance in Christian County. Born from a shared vision to elevate the local arts scene, this ensemble combines world-class guest artists, regional professionals, and our community’s most talented vocalists and instrumentalists to create "big city" musical experiences right in the heart of the Pennyrile.

The Story: A Homegrown Vision

In a community rich with creativity, a simple question emerged: What if Hopkinsville had its own orchestra and chorus—built by and for its people?

That vision came to life through a partnership between the Pennyroyal Arts Council and the Hopkinsville Chamber Orchestra and Chorus. Under the direction of Heejung Park, it has grown into a shared effort uniting local musicians and voices—creating a meaningful and lasting musical legacy for the community.

At the core of everything we do is a simple goal: bringing the joy of music to Hopkinsville, one note at a time. We accomplish this through:
• Performance: Delivering stunning renditions of classical masterpieces and contemporary works.
• Education: Offering a professional platform for local musicians and students to sharpen their skills alongside seasoned artists.
• Legacy: Honor Hopkinsville’s century-long musical heritage while building a sustainable future for the performing arts in Western Kentucky.
